Hello to all, I'm new in this forum and we're planning to move in Cary NC next year, my wife is a nurse and I'm sure it's not hard for her to get a job. My question is that is it easy to find a Desktop Support or Technical Support job in Cary, Raleigh or Durham area? I asked this because everytime that I search for that kind of job, it gave me more result.

I hope someone could answer my question and guide us before transferring to NC.

Thanks!

Thanks Jinxor, however, is it easy to get a job on that level? The reason I'm asking this questions is that here in SC, it's hard to get even those kind of job. You need to know someone in order for you to get the job. It's not what you know but it's who you know.

One way to get your foot in the door of a company is to get a temporary position. You can contact Kelly Staffing Services for example, they have a technical placement branch. I know many people who've done this at Duke, and if you happen to have the right skills and you fit in with the group you work with, the temp position usually becomes a permanent one.
Good luck with your job hunting and move.

That's generally the case throughout life. Network, meet people, and keep in touch periodically. It's all who you know that makes life easier. And not just related to jobs.
