Just bought a house in West Lake in Apex/Cary... We close in a month. What are some good restaurants/bars in that general area?

I can't give you great directions, but I can estimate that five miles away is the Bass Lake Ale House in Holly Springs. It's a nice setting, good food and good beer!

There is also an Italian Grill (?San Remo?) on Kildaire Farm road, which would also be in the 5-10 minute range.

Not too much in that area. We live a few miles directly east of you, and we normally head up Holly Springs Rd or Kildaire Farm Rd into Cary. Your other option is to head east over to Lake Wheeler Rd and follow that up into downtown Raleigh.

Congrats on your West Lake purchase! great neighborhood since the crime stopped and the radon levels were reduced...of course the new flight path will take getting used to....but hey.....just kidding. I live in West Lake too.....

seriously, there's not too many bars around the area. Three years ago there was nothing....so I guess we are growing.....

Head over to McGregor Village Shops off of 64....three or four nice bars there...
