Fairview Community Center has a hall right next to Fairview Fire Station off of Ten Ten near Holly Springs Rd. in Apex. It's about 15 mins from Crossroads in Cary. I have no idea who you would contact about renting, but I would think the firemen next door might have some ideas.

Yep. And it's a country club, so I'm willing to bet it's expensive. . . . and they probably want to be the ones providing the food and beer. . . . I'm sure we could find something better locally. Thanks for the idea though. Could come in handy for a wedding or anniversary party.

Hmmm. Not sure. The first line of the rental agreement says:

Clubhouse may only be rented by members of the Association

I'll look into it though. Thanks.

Good idea. That is only 5 miles from my house and I pass by it 2 or 3 times a week so I can stop in to ask questions.

Perhaps there's someone you plan to invite (at this or some other subdivision) who could be the nominal renter.

You might try Heritage. Not the golf clubhouse but the clubhouse at the View pool.

Hmmm. This looks a little too rich for our blood. The large room is $75/hour on the weekend and they charge another $30/hour to use the kitchen. There is also a $60 cleaning fee. With our $250 budget we would get less than 2 hours. We'd like the whole day.

They offer discounted rates for 1/2 and whole day rentals.

$600 for a full day weekend rental of the hearth room and kitchen. We would have to grill out on the parking lot and we are not allowed to bring our own keg of beer We'd have to pay for a caterer and bartender to provide beer and serve it to us.

OK. So let's agree that golf clubs/country clubs are out of the question. .
