Can anyone suggest a community that has homesites over .5 acre? Price range is $800 - $1m. Would like a community with pool, parks, etc.
Work in RTP and downtown Raleigh.

Given your budget and lot preferences I might focus on North Raleigh as opposed to Apex or Holly Springs-simply a larger proportion of neighborhoods there that fit your preferences. Wake Forest has some good choices as well, But North Raleigh will offer an easier RTP commute.
Also, Copperleaf in West Cary has an exceptional location, large lots, Great Pool/recreation, and it's right in the meat of your price range.

I would pick wake forest (maybe because I live there!) over the others only because we moved to wf from apex/cary area because the commute was much better to rtp for us. In wake forest though, you would need to stick on the west side of town in order to have a good commute..........

Hasentree (high 900-3 million)
The Groves (part of hasentree, but across the street) starts in the 800's
La Ventana (700-800's)
St. Ives (700-900)
Kelsey at Falls River
Sutherland

There are other neighborhoods in wake forest in that price range, but not on the west side of town.

In north raleigh:

wyndcroft
parker falls
briercreek
leesville crest
olde raleigh

I am sure there are many many many more, but those are the ones that come to mind first..............happy hunting!

Leigh

Another on the west side and north of Rt 98 is Galloway. $600k - $800k with pool and pond, not sure on the park facilities.
