I think too that Morrisville town planners until recently have not really pushed the growth envelope like some of the other suburbs. Think about the town of Creedmoor still very stubborn to growth.
What new home builders/communities are there in Morrisville, if any? My husband just got a call today from a company based out in Morrisville with a possible job opportunity. Would we be able to find affordable housing there based on its proximity to Cary?
In regards to why Morrisville is not a larger town - I have told by a friend that the Morrisville town council has been very conservative in how they want growth to happen and what they are allowing into Morrisville. If you will notice, the area has had a lot of growth just in the last year.
In regards to working in Morrisville and where to live - there are plenty of places to live with a fairly short commute to Morrisville. Well, that depends on your price range. Overall, the commute from several areas to Morrisville is not that bad. If you are wanting to move out of your area and your husband likes this job, I would consider moving here.
When I was looking at real estate in the early 1980's, I was told that water was the big problem in Western Wake county. I don't know when Morrisville got adequate water to support dense growth. Many of the old wells in the area had very low flow rates (< 1 gal/minute).
Probably because several areas in Morrisville have plans flying right above at low altitude?
Just look at the Martha Stewart Homes.....They clear cut the land and then you have planes flying above your head 24/7!!!
