I recently moved to Apex from St. Louis and am looking for a church in the Apex/Cary area. A church that thinks outside the regular box of church walls and is really out in the community.

Thanks

Default Snowing in Apex

There is a new church holding a free Community Christmas event for the whole family you might want to try. I looked at their website and they are bringing in snow, the police and fire departments on December 13.

It looks like they will be meeting at Beaver Creek Cinema in early 2009.

Here's their website: www.jordanchurchnc.org

Wow, that is pretty cool with the snow! I hadn't heard of Jordan Church. I guess because they are new. How did you hear about them?

I ran across some people from the church at soccer fields in Cary handing out free water and granola bars on a Saturday morning.

Thanks for the advise runner400. I think the Christmas event for the community sounds cool and the idea of joining a church that is new is rather appealing, in a theater nonetheless. I'll contact the pastor at Jordan to find out more about them. Funny how you met them at the soccer fields and you were able to pass it along to me through a forum! God works in wonderful ways. Thanks!

Check out Connections Church - Cary Churches: Connections Church - Cary, NC -- definitely the type of church that "thinks outside the box" and is big on serving the community.

Default Cary Church

Suggest you check out Covenant Christian. The web site is as follows:
Covenant Christian Church
It is an open and progressive church, definitely worthy of consideration with welcoming people.

Just to avoid confusion - there is Hope Community Church (on Buck Jones Rd in Raleigh) and Hope Chapel (on Old Jenks Rd. in Apex). Both are great churches. I attend Hope Chapel in Apex and it is very "out of the box" as you say. They are actually doing the snow machine thing for the kids next Sunday (the 27th). They are very family/community oriented. Their website is Hope Chapel - ordinary people, experiencing God.
