So, my parents are coming in for a brief visit and I want to take them somewhere overnight for a quick trip. The last time, we went to Asheville, Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain, so I am thinking of taking them somewhere else...
Any recommendations, anyone? The demographics of the group - 2 small boys ( 5 and 7), parents ( 60 and 58) and us ( mid 30's).
Thanks,

D

Take them to Wilmington and see the other end of the state. The boys will enjoy touring the U.S.S. North Carolina battleship.

or further down the shore you could go to the aquarium. I agree - what a great trip, we love doing that with or without visitors!
