I've noticed quite a few stores closing. Maybe we can start a list so nobody goes on a fool's errand.

Kelley,

You beat me to it! I was thinking that it was probably time for a thread about the stores that are closing. I can't believe how many have closed recently.

In Raleigh, Italian restaurant Ragazzi's is moving its Glenwood Avenue restaurant to a new location in the Forestville Crossing shopping center at 3002 Leland Drive. Owner Ed Schrage said the restaurant's lease is up. The final day for the Glenwood store will be Sunday. The new store will open in mid-December.
I believe the Preston Corners Fantastic Sam's closed because there are two other locations nearby. It was considered an "overflow" store. Fantastic Sam's is also located across from Stone Creek Village in the Cornerstone plaza and on Lake Pine near Kroger in Apex.

Citrus Restaurant in Southern Village, Chapel Hill closed. Probably because it was off the beaten track. The food was really good but whenever we went there we were practically the only diners.

Citrus was, I believe, at least the 4th restaurant to try and make a go of that location in the last 4-5 years. All failed and pretty quickly

Even when I lived in Southern Village it wasn't a good location to get to.

Some locations are horrible. I think once 4 or 5 restaurants have failed, it should be redesigned for something else.
