Just wanted everyone to know that there is a new Locopops in Chapel Hill. They closed the one near Sandwhich a few months ago and opened one near Whole Foods. We thought we'd be out of luck if we wanted a popsicle while we were walking on Franklin Street but we discovered a new location that has just opened. It is on Franklin Street, in the same place as the Cosmic Cantina. It is right near the UNC campus.

LocoPops
Loco like a fox - Lifestyles - News & Observer (http://www.newsobserver.com/105/story/445348.html - broken link)

They sell fancy homemade popsicles in exotic flavors. These sites can probably explain better than I could. I only have one once in a while but my kids are addicted!

They are popsicles with fancy names which taste fine but for some reason people get really excited about. I haven't figured out the fascination.

I like that fact that you can get popsicles for the family for under $10. They love them and it's a whole lot cheaper than other ice cream places in the same area. I also like the fact that we are helping to support a local business.

That is the location I was trying to describe! I'm not sure how long it's been there but we only noticed it for the first time last night.

The Locopops in Hillsborough has also moved, now on Churton St and is located inside Matthews Chocolates....

For an extra 75 cents you can have your Locopop drizzled with dark chocolate....Mexican chocolate dipped in chocolate is my new favorite.
