...did a quick search of the forum here and much to my surprise, no "formal" thread had been made about the best bagel in the Triangle. With all the Yankee transplants on here, I was sure I'd find a thread... but nope.

Maybe I didn't search well enough...

But you Yanks really let me down lol

Anywho... I guess I have to do it... So, the best bagel in the Triangle is...

*drumroll*

...Benchwarmers Bagels in the Transfer Co. Food Hall outside of downtown Raleigh. My goodness... just, just WOWZA. No other bagel I've had in the Triangle compares to Benchwarmers.

Feel free to disagree.... but I said what I said. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I love Lowe’s Food cinnamon raisin from the bakery down here. I know, they come frozen from a warehouse but...We half them, toast in the toaster and spread peanut butter on them open face.

NY Bagel & Deli off Falls of Neuse is pretty up there, although their lox were a little thick for my liking the last 2 times I went...the bagels are delish.

I went there a few times based on recommendation... I agree with you about the lox... but the Bagels were pretty decent. Wasn't astounding, but quality for sure.

Never change, Pogs. Never change. Appreciate your audaciousness in not succumbing to the bagel snobbery ... just good ol' Lowes... Very refreshing.

Everyone wants to be a snob these days. Thanks for resisting the temptation.

I'll reveal that I like Sprouts berry bagels... Shhhhhh, don't tell anyone.... Im still trying not to succumb to the snobbery.

Bagels? Aren’t those just stale donuts?

I'm from NY and I like Bruegger's. Sue me.

Full disclosure not a bagel fan. But when I want one that's where I go (NYBD is too far for the random craving).

Lowes has delicious bagels. I buy them frozen and bake them fresh at home. Seriously good. I also like Harris Teeter's bagels. Frozen and baked fresh as well. I only eat the plain. Scoff if you will but I have had bagels from the best from Brooklyn to NJ to Manhattan. I kinda know me some bagels. PW is correct.

We buy them frozen too...from Lowe’s. Take them home and right back in the freezer.
