I recently drove back down to Raleigh ( from Va.) and stopped off at the TTC mall, I always liked that area, and I noticed that a new hotel and a super walmart are being built so I did a little research and found out that the land where the super walmart is going to be built is also part of a live/work/shop/play concept and I wanted to know if anybody knew what builder would be building homes in there or if you have any additional info on the project itself.

As far as I've seen, the Super WalMart is a traditional WalMart development. I've seen the site plans and there's nothing like what you're mentioning unless things have changed very recently.

I really like the cocept of these "Town Centers" .(we call them that in FL) It's really convenient to live work and play all in the same area. If I remember correctly, they are putting one in Holly Springs. I think ppl are really looking for this convenience where they can walk and not have to drive.

Well, the news story is two years old, and I live 2 miles from the mall, and I haven't heard a word about it.

Maybe it's postponed due to the recession. I don't think another store, especially a superstore, across from another superstore, is needed in the area.

I don't know how anyone living in the area has missed this. In addition to the "future" sign there's been some work done on the site for a several weeks now (clearing trees and/or surveying maybe?) I usually pass the area at dusk and have been seeing pick ups coming in and out of the area near Fox Rd.

The project is still active, but appears to be on hold for now.

"Living near" can be north, east, south, or west of "there." I don't have any reason to be near Fox Road.
