what occurred that allows the neighborhood rotary clubs abuse the salvation army's red kettles and handbells?? I admit i punched a dollar into the kettle before i read the sign... wish i had my dollar back!

No, your money is safe, they are volunteering to help the salvation army, they do it every year, I know some guys who do this. Most of the people who ring are volunteers from local groups.

Yes, they are just volunteering their time to ring the bell for the Salvation Army. But even if they weren't, what do you think the Rotary Club would do with your money?

first, i'm sure i was in a shopping stupor to begin with but I do know I saw NO salvation army logo. I could only assume the rotary club would do meaningful and community supportive acts with the monies. i don't know if the rotary's activities are the same as the salvation army's -- where i mistakenly thought i was donating -- so for me, it would BUILD GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS had they shown their connection with the salvation army by at least showing the logo, if this that was the case.
