This could be fun. Let's guess Raleigh's (city limits) Census population. I put the poll into narrow ranges. I'd be interested to see where people think the city will be come April.
As a FYI, Raleigh's last Census population was 276,093.
Personally, I think it would be great to pass the 400,000 milestone this Census but I think it will come up just short....somewhere around 399,000. If I member correctly, the Census came up short of where the city thought it was in 2000. There's no reason not to expect a similar result this year.

Just remember that results won't be available for several months. The Census Bureau website (http://2010.census.gov/2010census/how/key-dates.php - broken link) says numbers aren't due to Washington until December. You'll have to resurrect this thread next year to see how close people's guesses were .....

Yep...you are correct. That's why I have kept the poll open for 330 days.

That's actually a pretty good guess for the 3 county Raleigh/Cary MSA.

As an additional reference to poll takers, last Summer's estimates were between 388,000 and 393,000 depending on the source.

What interesting poll results so far. I expected a bell curve but see a bowl curve instead. I am particularly curious about the votes for a population less than the estimates last year.
