Hey all, does anyone know what's happening or not happening with Harmony Road in SW Durham? I had read of plans for a new subdivision in that area, wedged in between Hope Valley Farms and Woodcroft.

Poking around on the Web and on the City's LDO website, it seems things were happening and then stalled a few years ago. That's understandable with the economy and everything, but just wondering if anyone has any idea where it all stands now?

Just googling and reading a few things it seems like the people in the surrounding area were against it and voted it down due to concerns about traffic, overcrowding in schools, etc.

Here is the website I read that at: swdurham.org :: Harmony Road II (http://www.swdurham.org/c-harmony/index.html - broken link)

Yeah, I saw that site too, but that stuff dates back to 2005. A quick search of the city's website indicates someone applied for a permit to build a model home in 2008, but that was withdrawn. So, just wondering if anyone has any scoop. I drive by there every now and then and it looks like SOMEthing is happening back there, however minimal.
