What is this like? What kind of stuff do they sell? Is it worth going to?

I've been surprised what I found there--they have lots of Western wear if for some reason you need that (I in fact did, when I went there). A few other clothes and shoe places, and pretty miscellaneous, like most flea markets, I guess. Most of it is "stores" rather than individuals just selling out of their attic.

Do they sell things like video games, DVD's, phone cases, sunglases, colonge?

Also, do you know anything about Watson's of I-40?

Capital Blvd. Flea market - Most of the vendors are Mexican and most of what you are going to find are soccer jerseys, kids formal wear, overpriced furniture, waaayy outdated electronics, used tires, cheap toys/inflatable balls- toys that you would win at the fair at one of those games.

Watson's - Every other shop sells replica Coach bags or replica Nikes. Pretty good replicas -to my untrained eye. They also sell cologne, dvds, cds, latin foods, etc. They do charge $2.00 per car as you enter.

It sounds like Walson's is more what I'm looking for. How big is it?

Capital Flea Market Mall is very much a Mexican Flea Market now. I would think you would need to know spanish to really deal with the vendors. I live near it and used to stop by once a month, I quit about 2 years ago because I could never find a decent deal. I know they had one video game vendor in there at one point.

Watson's is just what someone else said, a place to get knockoff of name brands. They were busted down awhile back for selling bootleg clothes, shoes, perfume, etc. If you want a knockoff Rolex it is the place to go.

The State Fair Grounds still has the consistantly best deals and choice. I would imagine this upcoming spring might bring better deals with the recession and people selling off things to make spare cash.

I like the one at the fairgrounds, but they seem to have more antiques, garage sale items, and some new things. That's fine for that stuff. I like to find perfumes, sunglasses, phone cases, video games, DVD's and stuff like that. The flea market at the fairgroinds had a few vendors with that stuff, but I was looking for a bigger and better selection. Don't know if Watson's has a big selection. I'd like to check it out.

Make sure to check out Ed Mckay. The DVDs, games and CDs are used but you can find some good deals and hard to find things. Also there is a new Games place out near Knightdale Target. I have not checked it out yet, but they looks to be a smaller chain or a local place.

Where we live now, my son gets used DVD's 4 for $10. They have a large selection too.
