Hi there,

I am new here! I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me, I would really appreciate it. I would like to get my real estate license but I will be moving out of state in 18 to 20 months. I am wondering if I should wait to get my license in the state I am moving to or if I should get it here where I am now and get experience before I move. I will be moving from the Midwest to the San Francisco bay area. I think by the time I got my license here, I would be able to work somewhere for almost a year or so. I have a stable job now that I have been at for almost 4 years so I am not in need of job now, so to speak. Thanks is advance for any advice and replies!

Wait. Real estate is very local and what you learn in the midwest may or may not transfer to your new locale. Not all states will reciprocate licensure so you would likely have to retake your classes again anyway.

That's kind of what I was thinking, just wasn't for sure. Thanks for the reply!
