After a hectic 2 months I finally got the home I wanted and it's older but in good shape and everything works for the most part and it passed FHA. It was a struggle and tense just waiting and i had a bad roommate that I had to live with for 3 months and it just so happened that my RE agent picked March 31 as the closing date and that was the day I had to move out. It didn't seem like it was gonna be worth it with the hurdles and stress, but in retrospect it was.
Thanks, I wish others would post when their ordeal is over too, so people know there are home buying success stories out there.
So true. There really ARE home buying success stories but after buying a home, people are just too busy to post about their good experiences. My home buying ordeal (which was really a lot easier than most of us endure), ended last June and I got my Dream Home. What a difference it has made in my life.
I am so thankful that I even *got* this house. I check the real estate listings every day and have not seen one single listing that could possibly be as well suited to me as the house I got. Not only that, but prices are going up rapidly here and everything seems to be "pending" as soon as it shows up for the first time. It's tough out there for home buyers sometimes, but believe me, it is worth the struggle.
P.S. - - it was hard for me to believe, but selling my own home after buying this one was every bit as stressful but I got more money than what I expected in a relatively quick sale. I think real estate is just inherently stressful for people with my personality type. That's OK, I never plan to move again. I plan to live in this house until they can take me out feet first in a pine box. LOL
