But hey, Chip and Joanna flipped the house for them - just think of the added "star power". Otherwise, regarding the price, as my old boss used to say, "You can want in one hand and **** in the other - and see which fills up faster".

I remember that episode; they were able to get the house for free, but had to buy a vacant lot and move the house to it. It's their house to do whatever they want to do with it, but I'd be surprised if they are able to sell it at that price.

No lender would loan anywhere near that amount of money on that house. It will never appraise.

Someone buying that house isn't going for a mortgage. They are fishing to get someone with cash, that loves the show to buy that home while the show is popular. Joanna has been in several articles not wanting to do the show anymore and focus on her perfume line or something else so their value probably isn't going to go any higher, no show, not much interest. So why not try and cash out while people remember them?

Worst case scenario they got a ton of publicity and it will help their rental business.

So in short, win win for them.

Is that one of those shows where people are looking to buy ridiculously expensive houses with a "modest" budget of $450,000 while the husband works part-time and the wife sells butterfly drawings on eBay?

Seems about as real as the WWF.

Just no. Waco is one of the cheapest markets in the country. Here is what you get for under $900,000 (magnificent almost 7000 square foot ranch for those who don't want to follow the link): https://photos.zillowstatic.com/p_f/...1000000000.jpg
