I am a senior college student majoring in Kinesiology. I need an internship to finish out my degree. I was supposed to graduate in May but my 4 years dragged on longer than I had hoped I could not find any reasonable places to live near internship sites for the Summer so now I am hoping to find some for this Fall.

It has already been extremely difficult just communicating with people and trying to get offers to intern at sports training facilities. EXOS is one of my top sites I want to intern at and fortunately I have an opportunity to work at one of their sites. I just need to find a place to stay.

I was recommended this website and decided to try my chances on the forums.

Here is a list of the available EXOS places:
1. Gulf Breeze, FL
2. Huntersville, NC
3. Frisco, TX
4. Carson, CA
5. Carlsbad, CA
6. Grand Forks, ND

I am hoping to find housing (apartment/sub lease, hotel, room renting, etc.) in or near these areas. I would only need housing from August to December. If anyone lives there, has lived there, or knows anyone who has some info, please let me know.

I would appreciate any assistance!

Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately, this is not a classified forum. All of the places you listed are decent sized, so I know there are apartments there. I'm gathering you are having difficulty finding something that you like that meets a small budget?

I'd start with Craigslist.

Yes I'm trying not spend several thousand dollars and stay within $700/mo. I've looked at many places and apartments are not cheap and don't even include utilities. I'm particularly looking for a place near to one of the sites because I will likely need public transportation.

I am looking into Cragislist but that site doesn't seem very legit.

Asking here in an anonymous forum is even less legit than craigslist.

Want legit? Call a realtor in each of those towns. You need to do the work yourself.

Not everything on craigslist is a scam. Proceed with caution, absolutely, but some people are legit. I've successfully bought a few cars, sold a car, and found rooms to rent in private homes on Craigslist. And then found tenants, when I in turn had rooms to rent out. If you feel uncomfortable responding to an ad, you can always post one and then selectively reply to serious inquiries.

You could also try traditional apartment websites, hotpads, zillow, etc.

Some schools have resources for housing recommendations, too, especially if you just need a room for a few months. Have you asked?
