we bought a house on contingency and dropped the contingency about a month ago and just this week the Beazer development we bought in dropped prices $30,000. After calling the builder we were told - it's like a car, you take the chance that the manufacturer will offer 0% financing right after you purchase and you have signed a binding contract and will be sued for breach of contract, up to the full purchase price.
I know they can't do this, but what can they do to us? I am assuming they are bluffing. Has anyone been sued for walking away from a Beazer home?
