I have the perfect book for you - The Real Estate Game by William Poorvu of Harvard Business School. No hype, no get-rich quick, just the straightforward fundamentals in a readable form.
Can anyone recommend a no-nonsense, no-sensationalism introductory book on investing in commercial real estate?
Thanks in advance.
There is a decent book out, ISBN 9780470227381 by Dolf De Roos, Commercial Real Estate Investing
Over all the best books I have ever read on commercial property were put out by author "Stephen J Murphy", One up on trump for example is one of his books, ISBN 1883077001.
Unfortunately the guy was arrested and put into jail for fraud, not because of the business suggestions he put in his book, but because he didnt follow his own advise, and took money from his investment companies to sell books, and took the profit from the books and donated it to charity. (it wasnt his money in the investment companies)
You can still find a few of his books on amazon.com used for a couple of dollars, but some of them are over price $60 for a $10 book. Supply/demand at its best.

This sounds like what I'm looking for, thanks, I'll try it.

I'll try these as well, thanks to both of you.
