I guess this is why they call it "practicing" medicine. Who knows our bodies better than we do? Certainly not the doctors.
I just told him that I hoped he had a good weekend because ours was the pitts.
Lacey, I dont think 'practicing medicine' was meant to me 'practice'...I agree, the poor man and I know what you are going through, its as hard on you to watch your loved one suffer so..prayers sent out to you sweetie..
OH gosh TEX...SIL sounds like s real winner....not! Is he going to be getting any PT once home?
Okay peeps thought I would post a few pics of my yard for your viewing pleasure LOL. They came out kind of light, it was too bright out there!!
Geesh 95 out, feels like 105 HOT ONE BABY Attachment 43886this is the front looking from the corner, wildflowers coming up and that is the island I did in the foreground
Attachment 43888this is the purple cone flowers outside the BR window
You have a beautiful home and yard Sara...love the blue chairs you did...what a peaceful backyard..can I hire you to come design my back yard..it's DIRT with a bbq back there, lol.
Lace...it's been a marriage wake up call for a LONG time now!
Shelly, do they have kids..so sad, its a sickness, but still sad...has she ever tried to quit or rehab or anything or is it status quo, like the elephant in the middle of the room no one sees? Hoping he has peace when he gets home...
Painter, maybe you could take out an ad in the NY Times, or an Equine magazine, they'd be down there quick. Your taxes have to be way better than the Northeast. Do you have any blue grass or ? in the pasture for the horses? Do you have a pool? How about something eye catching at the beginning of your listing like "Surf and Turf",...an equine dreamland, and only one hour from the beach. How about playing up the peanut farm angle?
Lacey, what made you buy your place in MN? If you could tap into the same reasoning, and find the plusses about where you live, maybe you could advertise (not local advertising) and attract a buyer. Did you mention fishing/boating? Maybe put a picture of someone holding a large trout or something, in one of the house pictures, and mention a nearby lake where it was caught. What city are you near? Is there a major industry in the area? If you know someone in a local medium sized to large business, could you ask them to post your listing on their employee website/lunch room bulletin board? Sorry that Mr. L is having a tough time again.
Just brainstorming. I'm sure that C21 and everyone could come up with some great strategies. Come on ladies, let's think Maybe we can come up with something.
Texas, so glad to hear that your brother is going home. Could you arrange for a visiting nurse/home rehab P/T to come in? Your SIL sounds like she is dealing with her own problems, and is almost incapable of helping your bro.
Dogmom, hope you are having a better afternoon. What kind of couch are you looking for?
Hi to everyone else.
Thats some excellent brainstorming..i think we should all just take this real estate in our own hands...you girls can market your homes better than those agents you have....Lacey, just a few more days for yours..hang in there.
Well, son and wife are on the train in Alaska and they have had to stop twice due to earthquakes, 5.8 and 5.4..checking the bridges..not a good way to continue their trip, but hopefully by now they are at their lodge in Talkeetna, which is near the epicenter. My kid grew up with earthquakes so they don't faze him a lot. Glad they werent on that cliff near the water when it happened...
Well, we did go out and found a sofa and recliner and bought them, will be delivered tomorrow. I am going to take pictures then and see if you all can give me some ideas for window coveings in here. We found them at a family owned furniture store, they are lazy boys and very, cushy and comfy...the price was real good, they were in promotional fabrics. They are kind of a beigy gold, not exactly what I would normally pick but I think it will work in here with the tile and carpet and I can pick up brighter colors in accessories. Dogpaw very happy to get a nice new recliner, and dogmom real glad to be getting rid of his 20 year old lazy boy recliner in mauve...he calls it his archie bunker chair. will see if the older son wants it..he might, if not..adios..20 years is a heckuva run for a chair.
Ok need to rest up, we ate at sizzler, i had not been there in a long time, yum it was a good steak..
OMG! Barb! It says Tito at the bottom---ignore that LOL!!the cake looks divine though! I just did 4 miles again on the treadmill at the gym today!!
Lacey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope Mr. L feels better...........That poor man...You are a godsend with him! I am sure he appreciates you immensely!!
Thinking of you and sending prayers your way!!
C21-- I LOVE your greyhound pic you had up---awwwwwwwwww!
It is hot hot hot here...90's rest of week or high 80's!
NJS and all-I think (after a martini) that he's the hero here-I just get so damn mad at what's happened-he felt great-now I'm in Nurse Ratchett mode keeping meds straight. Thank God I still have my senses and know but what about those older folks who don't and they are handed all this crap. Better stop before my NYC/NJ comes out-that ain't pretty.
He was always my hero and so strong and I hate seeing this happen to him but now I'm his hero.
