I've lost a simple recipe my grade school teacher taught my class to cook using an electric griddle during class when I was a child. This was at least 40 years ago.
It's really simple with few ingredients. The fried pastries are sweet, very flat, thin with see thru holes and made with cottage cheese. I can't remember if they were crispy or floppy.
The name was "cottage cheese yummies" or "cottage cheese lace yummies". It was simple for kids to make and very good. I think we dusted them with powdered sugar.
I loved making these with my mom and would like to find this recipe to make with my own kids. Thanks for any help.
I did see that recipe online. Our's had holes throughout being they were poured so thin. The reason for "lace" in their name I guess.... Thank you for your help.
When I think about cheese, and thin laces only this crosses my mind. Those are so easy, kids in the school could make. But of course they aren't made with cottage cheese... https://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipe...cheese_crisps/
That last ricotta recipe looks very similar. I have ricotta in the refrigerator right now.....Thanks again.
