... add to it. I've always thought it was fun to see what can be done with something when people use their imagination.

And I admit - this isn't mine... found the recipe somewhere.

Savory Party Bread

1 unsliced round sourdough loaf (1 lb.)
1 lb. sliced Monterey Jack cheese
1/2 C melted butter
1/2 C chopped green onions
2-3 t poppy seeds

Cut bread both lengthwise and crosswise without cutting through bottom crust. Insert cheese slices between cuts. Combine butter, onions and poppy seeds and drizzle over bread. Wrap in foil and place on baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Uncover and bake 10 minutes longer, or until cheese is melted.
Yield 6-8 servings

First - you put on a pound or so just reading the recipe.
Second - it's really really GOOD!
