two topics/questions not connected to each other, I hope it's ok to put them in one post

1. a guy was talking about his friend & his friend's wife, commenting his friend's wife was super-beautiful. he said only women who "look like super-models" deserve to be supported (financially) by their husbands. anyone care to give an opinion on this?

2. overhearing a guy telling his friend he was interested in a woman who was two years older than himself, the guy happily said "I just love older women!" considering they only had a 2-year age difference, is it accurate to assume that popular isn't really about someone's age being more than the other person's age, but more like a "category"? at what age is someone considered an 'older woman'?

Basically the guy is saying she would be treated like a trophy.

Depends on how old you are.

I think the guy is an @sshole.

An "older man" or "older woman" is far more than 2 years older.
My thoughts are in red.

You can think what you want about this guy and his overly candid comments but any woman who thinks otherwise is living much further in the past that they regularly accuse the men of being.

The reality is no woman "deserves" financial support anymore. For marriage to work it needs to be a partnership and there are very few places anymore where any but a tiny slice of men can afford this. Without both pitching in financially, the rocky road is soon upon you.

Face another fact. The tiny slice of men who CAN afford this are VERY selective about who they will support.

1. If I love the woman then I will support her regardless of her appearance and do so by whatever means necessary. That is the definition of love.

2. If she is older than me, then she is an older woman.

1. Every woman deserves to be supported.

2. How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were? Age means little to nothing in most cases.
