I think the OP is talking about the most extreme behavior on either end of the spectrum as opposed to the everyday sort of people that all of us know. Most people these days have had sexual experiences before being married and very few have a date with a completely new person every few days for several years so I can't take the question all that seriously because most of us fall somewhere in between those two extremes and we aren't confronted with having to choose between them.
