And those are the stores that always have the aggressive salespeople. Hate it! But at least it makes me more empathetic as to how much torture he goes through in my stores.
Now that I think of it, he's the one that always asks to accompany me. I don't like it because he's bored and I feel rushed. I then end up leaving without buying anything or buying what I'm not 100% sold on just so we can move on. (He must be doing it on purpose just for that reason.)
Yeah. It's quite a Pretty-Woman-type experience, I'd say... I like gifts on occasions as well as a man doing most of the paying for outings, but a guy paying for my own personal stuff otherwise is strange to me.
Well, it's not like I will always do that. Sometimes I will if I have the cash on me and I'm fine in terms of money. But that doesn't happen too often.
It just looks like that to me whenever I'm at Bed Bath & Beyond. The woman is dragging the guy around while he's holding his wallet in his other hand.
Where do women shop? Places where other women are shopping!
Park my butt in the chair by the dressing room and you can shop all you like, try on all you like, and ask my opinion all you like!
And when the women whose SO/husbands are not there to give advice, I AM! I will complement them, tell them how good they look in something, and even help pick out other stuff if they like.
At the end of the day I hung out with 2 dozen women, what did you guys do, scratch your behind and watch some NASCAR? Yeah, real men.......
Now, I don;t have a wife and no girlfriend or anything, but my neighbor knows that I will walk the aisles of the stores with her so long as there is a chance i might meet a date. Shopping cost me nothing but time and I could waste as much time at a bar and still end up with no date prospects. At least I am where the women are, see them in the natural state, and they see me as a man secure in his masculinity.

Cash?! What's that? That concept is so far away from me these days even though I grew up in cash economy. When I was on vacation, I went to town one day and left all my credit cards in the hotel. Mind you, I had $700 with me, but I'm just no longer used to the idea of being limited and felt a bit uneasy about it.

That's a different story - those guys are husbands. It doesn't matter whose wallet it is.

I still use cash. I do have a debit card, and I don't have any credit cards, but I can see where you're coming from. carrying plastic around is much easier than carrying money. Though I do love the smell of money!
I never understood why women like men to shop with them (aside from carrying the bags)!I never bring my husband along when I shop...I got the credit card what else do I need?!
