There are so many good men out there. The silent majority, the unheralded men who do the right thing just because it is the right thing to do. The ones who do the right thing in spite of bizarre, conflicting confusing messages these days about what manhood is about. The men who hold the door for a woman, despite feminazis who may bark at them. The men who will step in and help a woman (or a man) in distress. The men who treat a woman like she's a human being and not a sex object. The men who empathize with what women have to deal with, and though they may not like it, like having to deal with the so-called b@#$%shield, but they understand. I could keep going on and on and on.
To the men who can still manage to be decent just because. Thank You.
I've been lucky to have always had a bunch of great men around me. My father was an amazing person - colorful and sometimes obnoxious (he would have been the first to profess this) but a great person and the best Dad I could have ever had. My husband the best person I know. My male friends - well, I couldn't live with out them. My cousins, uncles, etc. - all great people - well, most of them! I try to let the men I love know how much I appreciate them all the time!
And to all my male friends here on C-D (and you know who you are) - I think you are awesome! Especially the ones who make me laugh all the time!!!
I'm not so sure I'd want a Casey Anthony type. Feel like most women reject us. But I'll keep up my 'good man' behaviors all the same... not because I think it'll get me somewhere, just cos it's the right thing to do.
