Back in the 70's men looked like men - they had hair. They groomed it if they had facial hair. Chest hair was a symbol of masculinity and used to peek through Qiana shirts unbuttoned nearly to the navel all while sporting a Horn necklace.
Hairy guys went out of fashion in the late 80s - leg hair was o.k. but back hair and chest hair wasn't shown off like a badge of male honor.
By the 90's men were smooth - and women were smoothly shaved as well.
I actually prefer hairy. I do not think a man without body hair is desireable at all...seems too girly. My experience is with blond-hairy, not black-hairy, so I might feel differently if the men I had been with were sort of apelike. Really though, I think I would still prefer black-hairy to no-hairy.
Ha! I had a baby in March 1972, and the BIG thing going around the hospital was the magazine with the Burt Reynolds centerfold. Nice blast from the past.
