Met a guy -from Nyc- who just got back from a year in London, England (a city I'm seriously considering moving to), he was telling me how different and difficult dating in London is compared to the US. Could someone explain if this is true or not and how is it different?

I always thought that no matter what side of the ocean you are on if you find a women attractive just go introduce yourself, ask if she is single and if yes, ask her out...

Wish I had more time to talk to him, I tried to find out more about dating in the UK but wasn't turning up much useful info on the web.
