I agree, I have always gotten the best response when I didn't say anything at all. If he does something I didn't like, I gave him the cold shoulder, its a behavior modification trick, modified for use on men.
My girlfriend has been known to yell at me once in a while. If that doesn't get results she wants she gives me the silent treatment. I let her think it bothers me, but honestly, at times it's nice she's just not talking so much all the time.
I have to admit I'm glad she doesn't know I post in this forum though.

I used to have a boyfriend who would get annoying from time to time. When he did instead of addressing his behavior, I would just withdraw from the situation, like tell him I could tell he was upset and that I was going home, I would catch him later. It worked like a dream, he would snap right out of it.

I wouldn't yell at a man, you get no where, all you do, is back someone in a corner when you yell at them, which is like telling them they are no good....
What you do is ask...and if they don't listen, you sit them down and say, listen, we have to talk...and then, explain to them, that this is unacceptable behavior, it is insulting, and lazy and non thinking of him and you are not his maid but his wife...
I blame mothers for raising their children that this is ok...all they do is create a monster for the ones that they marry, while making their children dependent on being taken care of, who, I might add, marry b/c they need to be taken care of...bad all the way around....
