I'm just wondering how many here have either dated (in real life) or gotten laid by someone they met right here on this forum? By "this forum" I mean City-Data as a whole, not just the relationship sub-forum.
For me it's only happened once back in 2007, and that was pretty much by accident. I was going out of town for a week to a pretty unexciting city, so I started a thread in that city's forum asking where the young single ladies hung out.
Not two hours later, I had a DM from a lady that said, "You may not consider me young, but I'm single and I would be interested in hanging out."

The only problem was, she didn't have a picture on her profile and she said she didn't have any on her computer to e-mail me. This was also before every cell phone had a camera.
Since I was in a boring town with nothing to do, I took a chance and met this chick sight unseen. She actually turned out to be pretty cute. We hooked up that night, after which she pretty much moved into my hotel room for the remainder of the week. I really didn't have a problem with it. She was a cool chick to hang out with and it meant guaranteed sex every night, so why not?
No, but it'd be interesting. Some of the women on this site are not only not crazy (a plus), but they're also rather good-looking as well.
Somehow I think that good-looking, normally-behaving are unfairly overrepresented on this site. When I go out, a lot of the good-looking ones are bat **** crazy...

Yes and no. While I did meet someone here on CD and have seen pics of them, we haven't met in person because the other poster is in Missouri while I'm here in Cali.

You modified what I said when you "quoted" me, making it look like my OP was simply a solicitation for people to brag about having gotten laid. In reality, I was genuinely curious about how many people had developed ANY sort of real-life connection with someone of the opposite sex they met on City-Data, whether it be purely sexual or an actual relationship.
