Whenever I think of Alanis Morissette I think of a fire alarm.

I think this is an interesting thought. Not to make this about "race" but I would say, black women are "expected" to be confident strong and assertive (and of course we all know what negative stereotypes are rolled into this one). These traits are called "unattractive" for black women, and we are not supposed to be any other way. [Kerry Washington has some great thoughts on this in a recent interview about black women being in the damsel i distress roles. http://bit.ly/ZoguS9/

So I honestly think it depends on the package. Soft-spoken woman who is assertive and confident: "Hot!" Woman with a loud booming voice who is assertive and confident: "too masculine." Super short small cute woman who is assertive and confidnet: "hot!" Taller, bigger woman with same traits: "too manly"

I honestly think it is pretty context specific, unfortunately. Someone like me? Probably expected of me, and doesn't add to my perceived attractiveness, and perhaps takes away from my perceived attractiveness. Sofia Vergara-type? Probably expected of her too. Kristin Kruek type? Probably considered intriguing and "hot."

Yes, I'm attracted to it as well. My girlfriend can be quite bossy at times and I'm a very quirky person. So in the end, we balance each other out. I have so many quirks that I think it would be a dealbreaker for most women. It's what makes me unique; however, could be annoying or frustrating to certain women.

Every man I've ever been with has loved strong, confident, outspoken women. They'd better, because I'm not changing!

Yes. I attract guys like this and I am kinda like this.

Wouldn't have it any other way.
