Attraction and procreation are different such as how cars and airplanes are both modes of transportation however a car is different from an airplane or how cats and dogs are both animals however a cat is different from a dog.

Attraction and procreation happen in the same body. When you are attracted to someone its chemical reactions in your body. Procreation happens in your body. The exhaust pipe of a car is the end result of the chemical reactions in the car. The engine runs from chemical reactions in the car. Dogs aren't attracted to cats sexually. Dogs are attracted to dogs. Biology. Cause and effect.

Such subtleties are lost on some. Though framing it in terms of cars and planes helps, I'm sure. Sports analogies are good, too.

Funny, I always thought that the subconscious drive to procreate gave rise to attraction. Your hormones drive you, so you go out and find a mate.

meh...whatever.

Reversed. If you dont find anyone attractive, you don't want to mate with them. If you do, you subconsciously do.

If your hormones are pushing you to mate, you'd tend to find almost anyone attractive. Especially those who are ovulating, no matter what their looks.

Happening in the same body doesn't negate that that attraction and procreation are different from one another such as how sleeping and pooping are different.

Seems Ruth4Truth was correct that such subtleties are lost on some. I did the comparison of dogs and cats to show that just because they're animals doesn't mean there isn't a difference between them unsure why you hopped onto dogs aren't attracted to cats sexually.

Ok you won that. However comparing cats to dogs is a silly comparison since they don't mate. Yes they are animals but they don't have a cause and effect.

They are different in only the fact that one is a cause and the other is an effect otherwise they are in the same body. Comparing it to cats and dogs doesn't make sense since one does have anything to do with the other

Cats and dogs don't have to mate for it to be a good comparison. Cars and airplanes don't mate how come you don't call that a silly comparison as well.

Seems I've overestimated your intelligence to comprehend to get that 'cats and dogs are both animals however a cat is different from a dog' is stating just because they share a commonality doesn't mean they aren't different.
