If you're dating a person for a period of time and discover that - although they have other qualities that you like - they're very judgemental of other people and possess the attitude that they're above everyone else, would you continue to date them? Would you just learn to live with this aspect of their personality; would you give them a chance to see if they would change, or would you bid them a farewell and seek someone who didn't possess this personality flaw? Also, if they were extremely physically attractive, could this alter your decision or would it make no difference?
This person is not going to change, if anything they will probably get worse. I would never stay with someone like that, because one day that attitude will likely be turned on you.
I see there are a scant few posters on here who would either date a judgemental person or would consider dating one. To those posters, they're way more open minded and more accepting than I am. I couldn't see myself being with someone who was judgemental with a superior-than-others type of attitude. I would grow weary of it after a time.
Eh, maybe, I dunno. Depends on what they're judgmental about.
We all judge, but it's the way we handle it and the willingness to look beyond initial judgments that is important.
I briefly dated someone who felt the need to verbally express every judgment he made. I always cringed when he said those things out loud. Even if I had the same thought in my head, I would never want someone to hear me say something that might offend/hurt them.
