This is bad...and I know some people are going to take this personally or offensively but please don't because it's just a question.

I hadn't heard of this rating scale thing ever in the offline world and so I was a little surprised when I heard a guy talk about it and I was like, "Hmm...I wonder..." and asked what he'd give me. lol I didn't ask what the numbers meant though. lol

So, if a girl gets "rated" 7/10 no makeup, what does that equate to?

I have no idea.

I think rating scales are garbage, and in real life, I've never run into anyone who has ever talked about other people in terms of numbers between 1 and 10. Besides, whatever that guy thinks of you, it's only his opinion.

Think about it.

Have you never heard anyone say, "On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest, he's a 7."

It's like in sports scoring, a "perfect 10."

So now I have explained the scale. The main thing you need to know is that rating people by numbers is a stupid and juvenile thing to do.

Just don't.

Wow...now I feel like I need to put disclaimers on all my posts before people take it wrong. Before judgment (it's not something I took personally or as a measurement for who I am or what I look like or where I go in life) I just wanted to know what it meant. Yes, it's silly. But so is playing ring around the rosey, or hide and go seek, or...why am I doing this?

I'll just do a google search. lol

Disregard.

I think the only person who could answer your question would be the person who rated you, based on his preferences.

Nobody got offended.

I explained it and offered advice.

All that matters is what YOU think of yourself.

But Googling before posting is always a good idea.

But one persons 5 is another persons 9. When you walk by a group of women and they hold up cards that read 5 - 8 - and from the Russian 3. Then move on.

Rating scales don't mean much because people aren't objective. Some people are overly harsh, doling out constant 2s and 4s, but most people are overly generous, judging every other person a 7+ and it only gets less meaningful face to face.

Ever seen the social network? The program he develops at the beginning of the film is the only reliable method for determining relative attractiveness. Numerical values are meaningless, but anyone can evaluate if A is more attractive than B.
