How about just being yourself? Don't worry about a timeline or a checklist.

Creepy guys start making out with a chick in the car after dinner and abruptly whip out their junk, then protest and act indignant when the girl isn't into it.

See the difference?
Yeah, I see the difference. I'd hate to fall into the latter camp....avoiding it at all costs.

I hate to ask....mind giving me an example/scenario? I know what you're getting at, but I havent the foggiest of how to apply it. I used to think 100% chivary/gentleman/doormat stuff was okay until I got a reality check from a girl I know.

Chivalry/gentleman and doormat are not the same thing. Can you clarify?

I always try to be a gentleman and all, but for years It's all I really knew what to do. I also have parents that implored me to put women on an amazingly high pedestal.

Just about all my friends give me "Dude, you can't be nice ALL the time" on a regular basis. I agree, I kind of not want to be Mr. Nice Guy 24/7. :P

Seems to be working so far. Met someone for a first date on Sunday, and she came over again yesterday. Having more fun on the weekend with her!
