invasion of the vegans....now that would be a book for stephen king

I dated a vegan for a short time- a very decent woman, we actually got along well, she was teaching me how to be more open-minded. how to look at things differently-
her open-mindedness, didnt last long, when she found out i was a butcher. (she had asked on the first date, i told her, she thought i was kidding)

The Vegan and the Butcher ...would also be a good title for a book

A love story that would rival Romeo and Juliet! "What's in an occupation? A paycheck from any other employer would smell as sweet!"

I didn't know the Relationship Forum existed at first. I was traveling a lot for work and I found it. I still navigate the other forums, but this one is the most updated I know.

I've ventured into other sections.

Three infractions later, it's sorta the reason I don't post much anymore.

I post in quite a few of the boards here. I think I've started more threads than just about anybody on CD, but they're pretty spread among the forums, aside from relationship the world forum, city vs city, general US, Aus and NZ, sometimes the religion and politics and controversies. I think the politics and controversies probably the worst out of all of them.

Most of us have, or should have, varied interests, so posting in other forums is hardly noteworthy. After nearly 7 years and 2800 posts on CD, yours truly has likely, at one time or another, posted in 15 or 20 different forums. After clicking on the stats box, I find that my most active forum is politics, the one that many others shun. Next is my home state of California, followed by history. Only rather recently have wandered over here, and that mostly because of a recent now ended bad relationship, plus some shared experiences going back some years.

Browse the immigration forums on a Friday night with some popcorn.

I thoroughly enjoy debating serious topics like religion or politics in real life, sometimes heatedly, but it's pointless to do so on the internet, hence why I stick to neutral boards like this one, or fashion, or food. There's no way I'm going to convince a Randroid that an uninhibited free market leads to just as much tyranny as uninhibited government does. It's just going to devolve into a shouting match.

I did not know this (part I underlined), is it in the FAQ or a sticky ?
Think that a couple times I posted 5 videos in a single post. Ooops, my bad

Agree.

Initially found CD via websearch for some household or medical question-
and then I saw all the other sections of site (incl. this one).

Same here.

I check on & post in mostly these areas:
Relationships, Non-romantic rels, Mental health (under Health/Wellness), Psychology, Vermont, Other, Fashion, SciTech, Philosophy, Food, TV, Books (Entertainment), About the forum.

I have zero interest in arguing or debating.
Exchange of opinion, reflection on experience-with civility-is what I value (and that's where I direct my attention).

Many times, the relationship section gets depressing because so many people are hurting and there aren't many good/happy threads. When it gets depressing or the same old-same old, I go to the other sections. Some of the other topics are interesting, and I've posted in a few other places. When there isn't much going on there, I just leave C-D altogether.
