The thing that stood out for me in the responses to those threads was how relatively rare men who are good in bed are. Why don't more men work on this skill? Do they think it can only be learned IN bed? Do they think women are so different that no skills are transferable? Or do they think porn is a good source? (That would explain a lot....)
Guys here, where do you learn? What non-porn websites have been useful? Do you take tantra and body awareness workshops alone? If not, why not?
How much "studying" do women do in order to please men? Answer that question first.
All our lives!
But I can see how, if you missed the part about this thread being in relation to the other threads, you might think it was down on men. Nothing could be farther from the truth, thank goodness .

Just because you are female and a guy can blow his load in you, on you, or in the raincoat doesn't necessarily equate to you being a great lover, or even a good one for that matter.

What is a "good lover" for you might not be for another woman.
To suggest a man can study for this is to suggest all women are the same.
I also have a set of DVDs made by two bisexual female porn stars that were made to teach men how to please women through non-porn methods. Explicit but educational. Step by step in real life. You can see how they work.

Men who are good in bed are not rare at all. You just have to stop being promiscuous and start sleeping with men who actually like and respect you.

The problem is that what YOU might consider to be a good lover, I might consider horrible and vice versa.
That's why people should learn and explore TOGETHER. In the day, that was part of what being married was all about. LEARNING to please the other person.
It's not about a score card, you know. Everybody is different and if you LOVE them and are in a COMMITTED RELATIONSHIP (i.e. Married), that's part of the process.
I dated a man who read books and liked to study. Honestly, I'm sure it was his approach, but it was a turn off. He'd want to try things "he read about" and I was his guinea pig. And of course, if it wasn't working, he'd try and try until I just got sick of it. Obviously, not very smart in bed, but definitely book smart.
I don't care if a guy learns from books, but don't be analytical about it in bed. And for crying out loud, if she doesn't like it, I don't care if your technique may be off so you want to keep trying, just stop.
