I'm 62, single, and it wouldn't even cross my mind to go out with anyone over 40. Currently, I have three "girlfriends." One is 30, the other is 30, and one is 26. That seems to work okay.

Nice, any tips for us that are struggling with the 30 and under crowd?

Well, I'm not married to any of them, so I suppose it's okay.

Everyone ages. It just so happens men hit their peak attractiveness roughly ten years after their female counterparts have. Granted they took care of themselves and don't prematurely bald.

Female peak: 25ish
Male peak: 35ish

Women will be sure to let you know they mature faster, but they'll be the first to cry misogyny if you lay out that men enjoy a later peak.

I suppose. But in my culture we don't sweat such things because we don't age in the same way white women do. My white female friends and colleagues who are younger than me have laugh lines and crows feet while I have none and I easily attract men who are much younger than me, no questions asked.

Not making this a race issue but I see this a lot among caucasians. White women do tend to age faster than women of color. I've always wondered why that is.

I'm always fascinated at how age is such a big deal in Caucasian-American culture.

Pheromones.

Younger women have pheromones that men (young and old) find more attractive on a subconscious level than older women do.

It is mother nature's way of ensuring that men (of any age) are more attracted to younger women as opposed to older women - since it is far better for offspring if during the fetus stage, they spend about nine months inside of a younger woman who by default is healthier due to her age and able to carry a child and give birth. Attraction to the pheromones of younger women was a biological way to ensure men even thousands of years ago would more than likely mate with younger and/or healthier females and for the reason stated above. Women that start to get somewhat old and/or are pre-menopausal or actually experiencing menopause have hormone changes that affect their pheromones and that is nature's way of indirectly letting potential male suitors know that those women might not be able to have offspring or at least healthy offspring. It had to be that way long before civilization and man's knowledge of medicine advanced and it was/is a simple biological way to ensure men (of any age: since sperm is essentially sperm regardless of age) pursued younger women.

Neurochemical tests have even been done that show that a man's testosterone levels increase (although temporarily) when in the presence of younger women, and that too is a direct result of close proximity to the pheromones of those younger women.

It's all about pheromones.

By "stable" read "financially independent".
