Well, I don't want to be single at all yet I've been single for 10 years.

If you don't like your job that is something only you can fix. To be down on yourself, and that will be transferred to anyone talking to you, is what is a detriment to your social interactions and dating.

There are plenty of people who do not like their jobs, and there are many people who are unemployed in this day and age to no fault of their own. To continuously talk about themselves in the negative and focus on the one thing that is a negative, is what makes the difference in successful dating.

If YOU don't like your job, doesn't mean someone else finds it a problem.

Get a new job if YOU don't like the one you have.

Only you can change you. You have successfully identified the 1st problem (congrats). Now your 2nd step is correcting it.

It really depends, I was socially awkward and didn't have a great job, a good one for my age but not great and I did fine. Just date women who are in the same socio-economic status that you're in and you'll do fine. Learn to socialize by going out with your co-workers and you'll get better.

Do you really need a bunch of strangers to tell you to improve yourself?

OK then.

Get a better job
Get off the computer and interact with actual real people until you are no longer "socially awkward"
