I kind of like the chocolate even though it's not good for me. But roses...eh...I never cared for them. Gerber daisies are my choice of flowers....LOVE those!!!

Use your imagination, you're stuck in cliche-land. Anything will work, anything she likes. Dinner out. If she likes tea, get her a nice imported teapot. If she collects things, buy her something for her collection--art, whatever. A romantic music C-D, or whatever her favorite music is.

Is this really so hard?

If we did the valentines day thing I would be thrilled with the ice cream maker attachment for my Kitchen Aid....

It would be much better than flowers and candy in my opinion.

Give a large diamond jewelry piece and you'll see just how preferred some alternative can be.

Hah. I made my husband a figurine for his desk...a plastic tyrannosaurus rex devouring little t. rex fistfuls of hearts. He'll love it.

I'm also cooking steak and baked potatoes, but that's as much for me as him.

I don't care for most chocolate. But flowers are nice. There are lots that last longer than roses, though.
