Sorry for the new thread but I'm in a real time crunch here. The man Ive been interested in, who probably has no idea, unless he picks up on clues that have been put out by my friends and I in our social circles, attends the same church community group that I do. Tonight, it has been cancelled and I see this as a golden opportunity to ask him to coffee and find out once and for all if he could be interested in me.

I would have to e-mail him, as he is not on FB and I don't know his phone number. I'm thinking of trying to sound as casual as possible (eeeek!!) and say hey, since we were both going to community group, let's just meet for coffee, the two of us. I am so scared but I want to do this, I need to know so I can move on if he's not interested.

Vital stats for anyone who doesn't know:
Me: 46, divorced
Him: 49, divorced

Should I just ask him? Should I say something leading up to asking him?? I'm totally rusty here!!

I just gave you some clever, humorous, and thoughtful advice on your other thread. I even complimented your HAIR!

Summary: DO IT! DO IT! DO IT! (oh, and something about shaking your shoulders. ).

Cheers (and, again, hugs)

Yes!! Definitely ask him. He might be a little shocked at first, but will likely be flattered. I think the coffee is a great idea.

Thanks guys, needed that!!
I e-mailed him and so here goes the anxious time - how often does he check his email, will he answer, how soon will he answer, what will he say, will he be direct, what if we actually go, what will I wear!

P.S. I did tell him to either answer back in the email or text me and gave him my number.
