There's another older study that also says that wives are happier with husbands that are less attractive than they are, than with husbands that are more attractive than they are.

Yea, but men always say "I married the most beautiful woman in the world" and "I'm the luckiest guy in the world." even when they might be equals.

On the other hand, a woman will say, "I wasn't really attracted to him at first." often when they are equals.

So, it's more a matter of psyche and women being pickier when it comes to looks really.

This is pretty meaningless, since what's "attractive" varies so widely from person to person. One guy's "ugly" is another guy's "cute" or "irresistible". Did the study also analyze how happy men were with their hot-looking wives if the wives had low sex drives? I'll tell you one of the keys to a happy relationship...
