No one is perfect. Everyone has some amount of mental "illness", it is just a matter of degree. So, unless the question is better defined, I can not answer.
I almost married one. Go to work, 30 min on the stationary bike, home, cook dinner, sit at TV, bed, repeat. On weekends I'd might be able to get her to go on a bike ride, or a hike, or to see a movie and have lunch or dinner out. The sex and desire for mixing it up (Really playing) was just a vanilla. Woooo. I got out of that. She's happily married to a very nice accountant and I'm happy for them.
I'm with you on the TV. I haven't had one where I've lived for 20 years and don't want one. Ever.
You dodged a bullet there & you know it
Yet so many people would jump at the chance to
have that kind of repetitive, mind numbingly boring life....
Oh- glad you mentioned the sex...
Sex is unbelievably boring w/ the "normal" types.
Seriously- the "crazy" ones are addictive

I did. She's a great woman and she was a good friend (but I was dating/living with a friend, not a partner and lover), and I'm sure she is happy now, but yeah, no thanks. She didn't have a "crazy" or sexually "nasty" bone in body. Total vanilla nurturing mom type. Which is fine, just not my jam. (There are some awesome, fun moms out there, I'm not saying if your a mother or nurturing you can't be a blast).
I'll deal with some crazy and a bit of turmoil (I said "some") and enjoy the ride of life.
Having been married 20+ years to someone with an untreated mental illness, I would never do it again. Weird unpredictable behavior, difficulty holding jobs, poor handling of money, out of the blue outbursts of temper, - no thanks. Glad I got off that roller coaster and would never willingly get back on.
If someone had some form of mental illness, such as BDD, social anxiety, depression, GAD, or bipolar, would you still date them?
No way.
The following mental diseases/disorders are immediate cause for rejection:
Depression
Bipolar disorder
Obesity - yes, its a mental disease. If you are fat and you know it, but you cant stop drinking soda and eating sweets, then you are screwed up mentally.
Eating disorders
Sexual assault - very few actually get over this horrible event.
Talks to and/or has one sided (or two sided) conversations with her cat(s).
Addiction to things like alcohol, nicotin, sugar, etc.
So if a woman was assaulted in her life, she isn't datable?
I would never have ever ever thought that one.
I would not date a woman who is a victim of sexual assault/rape. Its such a horrible horrible crime that very very few are actually able to get over it.
Talking to a pet is considered mentally ill? Are you kidding me?
Talking to her CATS and/or having conversations with her cat is deal braker city. "Oh hi Whiskers, momma is home. Did you miss me? What did you do all day? Oh, momma has something nice for you....."
