Whether you have actual in-laws or just bad experiences "meeting the parents", what are some of the most outrageous stories you have regarding your SO's family?
I'm not actually married, but one girlfriend's mother would talk badly about me behind my back all the time, and I had no idea until one of her other relatives informed me. She even made up stories about me cheating on and verbally abusing my gf to turn them against me. Oh, and she pulled the sticking-pins-through-condoms stunt, too.

That is not even logical, why would she stick pins through the condoms if she didn't like you?
If her daughter got pregnant she would be stuck with you for at least 18 years and I cannot imagine anyone who doesn't like you voluntarily doing this.
Besides, how in the world did she have access to your condoms?
Shouldn't those be kept in a place that does not have open access to everyone?

hmmmm....that makes absolutely NO SENSE
If her mother didn't like you and talked badly about you why in the world would she want her daughter to get pregnant by you??
From telling my mother they would ensure that I was out of their daughters life within 6 months at the birth of my daughter, to constantly talking crap about me to anybody that will listen, to calling social services on me for fighting with my daughters doctors and refusing to go along with their experimentation with my daughter and her health, my in laws make the in laws from meet the parents look like amateurs, there is a reason that we moved 1.5 hours away from where we want to live.
