I keep seeing profiles with a grip of sport related pics. In the profile, they express more than once how much they love football, baseball, Etc.

Is this a ploy? I'm sure most dudes like that in a girl but I find sports pretty boring. The few girls I know who are really into sports are really boring people. Homebodies who rather stay home and veg out on Sundays than go do something.

The ones I know who play sports don't boost about it as much as those who watch. I know this is a problem girls usually have but its a total turn off to me when I saw a girl hardcore into sports.

I don't care for sports.

I know a lot of girls who like football/sports in general, and I know a lot of girls who could care less.

They aren't all that entertaining to me, I just go to the events to socialize. Although, I am more than certain some women like to post pics about sports in order to pull male attention.

I'm sure some women do really love sports. One of my cousin's wives is always passionately posting football related stuff on Facebook - and it's specific stuff about players and plays and such so she's obviously really into it.

Nothing wrong with it being a turn off for you. You're not into sports so naturally a girl who is would not be compatible with you. There's plenty of women out there who aren't really into sports either and would be more compatible with you.

Yes, it's a ploy.

In the rare circumstance where it isn't, you can easily find out by talking to them for a couple of minutes.

Hard to tell. I really love sports but the ones I care about the most are (American) football and tennis. It's not always great to be a sports fan as a woman though. A lot of other women find you weird and guys assume you know nothing so they try to 'challenge' you But it is no problem to not prefer hardcore fans. You never know when they are going to be super depressed because something they have no control over just happened. I had a roommate who was a Patriots fan but you could hardly tell she liked him because she spent her time screaming at them on TV every weekend. Not easy for everyone to handle.

Yes, I really loves sports. I'm not doing online dating - but if I was, I would definitely list that I love sports. It's not a deal breaker for me to be with someone that also loves sports - my ex-fiance would patiently watch some games on TV with me but he had absolutely no interest in them himself. I definitely have some other female friends that love sports, too. We do exist.

If you find a female that loves sports, go ring shopping immediately.

It must be a ploy. Some women do love spectator sports. But it couldn't be THAT many. FWIW, if I had an OLD profile, I wouldn't mention sports. Because I'm not into sports and I'm not looking for someone who is into sports. AND I'm not into ploys. But I'm not on OLD, haha, so you miss out on that little bit of honesty. Maybe you should email those women and ask them if they honestly are into sports.

One thing I've noticed, though, is that some guys can't handle women who have any physical prowess with sports. It's weird. They start throwing around the "A" word ("Amazon"), and get really bent out of shape. Gawd. Is the male ego really that fragile? ugh.

I do not love sports. I never mentioned sports in my dating profiles. Video games and movies (I'm a movie junkie), of course.

Football girl at heart. I do like some baseball, though. But, I'm not on OLD. I don't do things for men - I do things for me.
