It is apparently not uncommon at all with people of your generation. You are not unique in this aspect of your life at all.
This is what I was going to say. It seems common to start later in life these days.
If you ever get on the subject of past relationships with a woman OP, you could always just tell the truth and say you were focused on school/building your career. It's so common, unless she has some big hang-ups, she probably wouldn't bat an eye.
I'd say you sound like my son and daughter. When you aren't into the hookup culture, have standards and goals, are building your career or getting an education it isn't unusual. I wouldn't worry about it at all. You're a good catch and should be discerning about who you have a relationship with. It'll all work out.
Just because society tries to make it a norm to be in a relationship most of the time, it doesn't mean that it's how things should be for everyone. Every path is different and you have plenty of time to experience love relationships in your life.
