This book is so depressing for women!!! What is a single woman 40 and older to do? I guess men outsmarted us again. Dating odds for black, jewish, mormon, and middle eastern women is even more dire!!! Apparently asian women have the best odds regardless of ratios.

If you are a "good" girl, it is even worse. Hate to say this but feminism, specifically Title IX has been horrible for women and men!!

I've never heard of the book. A person may write words on paper, but that doen't make it gospel. Even the gospel has some pretty big holes in it.

Title IX prohibits discrimination in federally-funded activities, like school sports, so I'm not sure where you're going with that.

Equal funding on education programs has been horrible, how?

Hmmm-- as a single, 40-something, Jewish woman, I simply went for what I wanted. Worrying about "ratios" and the like seems awfully counter-productive to me.

How is "good girl" defined?

Title IX? The one that requires equality in education programs and activities that receive federal assistance?

I actually do better dating now at 53 than I did in my 20's. I don't care what a book says the odds are, I believe I have more control over my life than just tossing dice and going by odds.

I don't get your thoughts about feminism at all, but I thank God for the opportunities I have had compared to my mother when she was forced into work after my dad got sick in 1967, and her options were limited to secretary and housekeeper, barely keeping a roof over our head.

If you look at the statistics, it's (culturally speaking) more on the women than the men... being that women are statistically more interested in dating inside their race than men. Asian women have it easy because men of any race tend* to be open to dating them. Black women have it the hardest because they tend* to seek only black men (and are relatively unpopular targets to boot). Race relations in dating are pretty ugly if you dig into the data.

*statistics here, save your respective anecdata

Are there more Jewish women than men?

Face it, Muffy. You're just going to have to put out more. Or don't put out at all. Depends on which book you read.
