After age 50, do most people still have perfect, all-natural teeth?
I'm 55, in a non-professional job but have a college degree.
Or, have they had one or a few or more extractions? Do they get expensive restorative surgery to cover up for missing teeth or extractions?
And is it okay to let your teeth discolor a bit...or should one use whitening toothpaste or strips...and do they really work? Or, just pay for professional teeth whitening?
Would you date someone in their 40s, 50s or older if they smiled but you could notice an extracted tooth at the corner of their smile? That's my issue, as a tooth was extracted ten years ago but if one looks closely, they can see my tooth is missing at the corner of my smile. I heard that I can get a temporary tooth which I can remove at night...is that expensive?
Oh my. No. most people at age 50 don't have missing teeth. They probably won't be perfect, but I think it's quite the minority that have a missing tooth at such a young age.
Do whatever is neccessary to keep your teeth white. Yellowing teeth, as well as missing teeth, are very unappealing!
During surgery recently, during prep, I was asked if I have false teeth to remove. At age 55, they ask THAT?
But I look much, much older than 55, so maybe that's why. I don't smoke, drink, no drugs, vegetarian over 22 years, no soda/just water.. and I've always looked much older. Hmmm...
Only people who don't brush/floss their teeth or use dope lose their teeth.
Wrong some people naturally have bad teeth, others have medical issues that affect their overall health then there are those who had great teeth until they got pregnant or went to a Dentist who was not a good one and caused issues with their teeth.

They ask everyone if they have teeth to remove before surgery, even children since many children have retainers.

The above, and more, are just some reasons why someone might have their teeth. I wouldn't call a missing tooth at 50 "common", but it's not even remotely rare. I wouldn't be surprised to discover that it might even be close to 50/50 (though I suspect it's less than that).
Why not go to an orthodontist and get some bridgework done?
